Happy start of High School Track season! Below are the important things to know about the club and how it operates during the spring.
Participation – Everyone has a different situation with their high school program. You are welcome to participate in the club during the spring as little or as much as you would like. The only requirement is that you MUST clear it with your high school coach. Whether you are making a deal with your high school coach to come to club practices instead of school practices because you don’t have vault facilities or a vault coach, or you’re just coming on the weekend to get some extra training, PLEASE discuss AND clear this with your high school coach. If you are coming on the weekend to get extra training, ASK your coach what they want YOU to be working on. We want your training to work in conjunction with what is going on with your high school season.
Schedule – The training schedule during the spring will be dependent on 2 things, demand (signups) and weather. We will continue to train indoors until Livonia’s spring break (Mar 25 – April 2). As of right now, we DO NOT have access to the indoor facilities during spring break. Once spring break starts, we will begin practicing outside. Weekend practices will move from Saturday to Sunday (mainly because meets will start to occur on Saturday) following Easter weekend. There will be no mid-week practices the first week of high school season (too many variables with athlete schedules). The second week will have our normal Monday and Thursday practice indoors and week 3 is spring break and the start of practices outside, IF there is enough demand. Spring break will have practices during the week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (we can add more if there is demand) and then after spring break for the rest of April there will be only Wednesday practice during the week (can move to Thursday if better for more kids). Days and times will be as listed on the signup genius. We will reevaluate the schedule offerings for May as we near the end of April.
Demand (signups) – Any indoor practice requires a minimum of 6 kids to operate and at least 8 is desired. If there are less than 6 signups 24 hours prior to practice, it will be cancelled. If 6 or 7 are signed up it will be decided based on the risk of no-shows. 8 or more should be good to go unless there is a bunch of last-minute cancellations. Outdoor practices require a minimum of 4 signups. For these reasons, it is IMPERITIVE that you get signed up and modify any changes to your schedule on signup genius ASAP so that we can make accurate decisions about practice. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090a4aa9ad28a6fc1-20231
There are no restrictions on how many practices per week you can sign up for like we had during the winter. If you have not yet completed a registration for this season, you will need to do that as well (click on the black box after all this info).
Weather – It’s rare that we cancel practice due to weather, but the reality of spring in Michigan is that it does happen. If it’s cold or wet enough that we don’t think a productive practice can be accomplished, we will cancel at least 2 hours ahead of practice time. If it’s a day where we do have access to the indoor facilities AND there are enough kids signed up to do indoors, we will relocate the practice inside.
Cost – Spring practices will be charged at the day pass rate ($20 for members and $40 for non-members). Cash is preferred or you can do the online registration. If we get enough signups and we are confident that we will not have to cancel practices due to low demand, then we can set up a prepaid package option with a cheaper daily rate (something like members 5 for $75). So again, using the signup genius is imperative.
Pole Lending – We will begin lending poles out for the season at the end of spring break. If you have a unique case (dire lack of pole options or an early season competition), we will consider that on a case-by-case basis. Pole lending is NOT first come first serve. We will collect all requests and then determine how best to accommodate everyone. If your pole needs change throughout the season, you can freely trade poles in and out as needed, just let us know as soon as possible so we can verify if it is available or buy it if need be. Pole requests should contain the following:
The registration link is in the black banner below. Once you have registered, please also use this signup genius link to indicate which days you will be attending training so we can plan accordingly. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090a4aa9ad28a6fc1-20231

2021-22 continued to have it's challenges and COVID prevented us from having a true indoor season, but our athletes trained as hard as they could throughout and had another great season! Highlights this year included 20 all-conference performances with 7 conference champions, 23 regional qualifiers with 8 regional champions, 16 outdoor state qualifiers with 6 outdoor all-state performances, 4 outdoor national qualifiers and 11 school records broken. 3 athletes are continuing on to vault in college and 2 $1000 scholarships were awarded. Looking forward to a great 2022-2023 season.
